While traveling through the countryside we came across this wild landscape. I painted it but rejected it us not very realistic. On my last trip to Ireland (2005) we came through the same area and there it was again, an incredibly beautiful and colorful landscape. Nothing was there except for a few sheep. The wild flowers provided an abundance of color. Unfortunately I am not sure exactly where this view can be seen. I will try to retrace my steps mentally to see if I can come up with the location. It is too striking not to be shared. Music: The Old Rambler |
Wild Irish LandscapeThe wild flowers covered the floor of the valley The table top mountains were ominous in their dark tones The road curved and lined up with the pass you see The beauty was there as we came over a rise of some stones Maybe it was the time of day or the season You would not come this way without a reason |
